We make documentary style films about individuals and the crafts, passions, and pursuits they love. Right now, Jawz is the only filmmaker behind Rowdy Films, but we’re looking for more filmmakers who want to tell stories, share their work, and shine a light on people doing what they love.
FLAVOR:
Flavor is a series created by Jiovani AmayaWood (JAWZ) that explores culture through the lens of food and drink. Every community has a unique flavor. not just in what it eats or serves, but in the traditions, history, values, and Individuals that shape its identity.
Each episode visits a new town, city, or region to discover what makes that place unique. Through conversations with local makers, business owners, artists, families, and community leaders, Flavor uncovers the stories that define a culture and the people who keep it alive.
Food and drink serve as the starting point because they are often the most accessible expressions of a community's heritage. Behind every recipe, ingredient, and local specialty is a story of tradition, adaptation, pride, and craftsmanship. By exploring these stories, Flavor reveals how culture is created, preserved, and passed on from one generation to the next.
At its heart, Flavor is about understanding the character of a place. It seeks to capture the spirit of a community and the people who give it life, revealing that a location's true flavor comes not from what is served on the table, but from the culture that surrounds it.
UNDERBELLY:
Underbelly is a series created by Jiovani AmayaWood (JAWZ) about craftsmanship and the people behind it. While many people see the finished product, Underbelly is dedicated to uncovering everything beneath the surface. the skill, dedication, experience, and hard work that bring a craft to life.
Each episode immerses me in a different trade, profession, or craft. Rather than simply observing from the sidelines, I step into the process myself, learning through hands on experience and conversations with the people who have dedicated their lives to mastering their work. Whether it's woodworking, blacksmithing, ranching, glassblowing, or another skilled craft, the goal is to understand not only how something is made, but who makes it and why.
Through participation and storytelling, Underbelly reveals the hidden side of craftsmanship: the challenges, traditions, techniques, failures, and lessons that are often overlooked by those who only see the final result.
At its core, Underbelly is about gaining a deeper appreciation for the people behind the work and exposing the unseen foundation that supports every craft. It is a journey beneath the surface to uncover the true underbelly of craftsmanship.

Coming from a barista and bartender background, I’ve always tried to surround myself with individuals who care deeply about their craft. Being behind the bars taught me how much passion, repetition, and pride goes into the work people love. That’s what I like to film.
Through raw.jawz, I focus on capturing creators in their element, the process, the details, and the pride behind what they make. Passion in others fuels my filmmaking, and my goal is to tell honest visual stories about creators who truly care for what they do.
